|tb| Tactical Brotherhood is a community.  It's that simple really.  We are a group of 18+ year old mature gamers that just enjoy each other's company whether we are competing with each other or whether we're just "hanging out" in the voice server.  It is of vital importance to us that those that are members are truly members of a special community.

We have chosen to run a voice system (GSC) that allows us much freedom in allowing non-members to join us for fun and gaming.  We like that.  It is consistent with the ideals that this unit was started on.  The voice server does have a password to offer a small modicum of security against unwanted visitors.  However, for our friends and our public players on our servers --- the password is readily available and we encourage you to join us there.  While there we do ask you to observe our "family friendly" environment.

The act of becoming a member of |tb| Tactical Brotherhood begins in our game server.  It continues when you join our voice server --- and this is perhaps the most critical part of the process.  Over the course of several days or even weeks we expect that some will want to join our little "community".  When that time comes, we may either ask you to consider joining us or you may ask us to join.  Either way, that time in our voice server is critical in getting to know you and getting to see you play.  We desire folks that play with our slow, deliberate, tactical pace.  Gaming is most fun for all of us if we game with those that carry the same philosophy of what exactly defines "fun".

So, when that time comes we have a short application that needs to be filled out and submitted.  You will find that application on our Recruitment page.  Simply fill it out completely and send it to the proper e-mail address and we will respond to you via e-mail within a very reasonable amount of time (largely determined by your time spent with us).  It's simple really.  If you've been hanging out with us and we think you'll fit in (we already hope you feel like you fit in if you apply!), then you're in.  Easy enough.

Once you are accepted, you will enter |tb| Tactical Brotherhood as an "L1" (leadership structure defined below)and will be assigned to the Training & Intake Team (T&I).  While there, you will be expected to participate in a brief (45-60 minutes) session with an "L6" or "L7" concerning the philosophy of |tb|.  We call this "|tb| Tactical Brotherhood 101".  In addition you will be expected to fully review and become familiar with out basic training manual which will be provided.

Once you have completed those minimal requirements, you will be advanced to an "L2" and moved to the Transition Team (TrT).  While assigned here you will be run through some basic training primarily centered on tactical philosophy, teamwork, and communication.

Once both of these stages have been successfully completed you will be awarded your "L3" badge and moved into an advanced training team.  At this advanced training level further training will focus on increasingly advanced practices and techniques.  Here is where team-based activities will be the order of the day.

Headquarters Section:

The HeadQuarters Section consists of the "business" side and the top leadership of the clan.  These areas may vary as we continue to grow but the different functions of this office currently include: business operations; technical functions; strategies & tactics; training development and delivery; and recruitment.  Some or all of these functions may be carried by the |tb| Tactical Brotherhood Founders --- or they may choose others to coordinate particular areas.  The general well-being of the entire clan is the ultimate responsibility of the HQ section.

Leadership Structure:

While |tb| Tactical Brotherhood is not intended to be a "military-style" clan specifically; we do have a graduated series of levels of responsibility within the clan to keep order and offer our members an opportunity to grow in their input and influence of clan direction.  It is understood that the higher a member goes in this leadership structure --- the higher the level of respect, responsibility, and expectations will be given them.  Leaders within |tb| Tactical Brotherhood are EXPECTED to be active and to participate.  There is NO shame in not accepting nor aspiring to a position of leadership.  Respect will be a common thread among all members one for the other.  However, in matters of keeping order and moving the clan forward, the following leadership command structure will be adhered to strictly.

Level 1 (L1): This level is the entry level for |tb| Tactical Brotherhood and will be carried by ALL new applicants that are currently participating in T&I.  This entry level comes complete with the privilege of wearing our tags in game and in the voice server and make you a fully privileged member of |tb| Tactical Brotherhood.  Congratulations!

Level 2 (L2): This level is reserved for those new members that have successfully completed T&I and are currently a part of TrT.

Level 3 (L3): This level is reserved for all those that have successfully completed both T&I and the TrT programs and are assigned to an Advanced Training Section.

Level 4 (L4): This level is for those that have proven themselves worthy of being called a leader.  These positions are only open as there are positions available.  A member that has achieved this level will act as an assistant instructor/leader with any of the basic or advanced combat training teams.

Level 5 (L5): This level is reserved for all leaders of the basic or advanced combat training sections/teams.  These members will lead all activity within their area of specialty.  Those who have earned a level of L5 will have a "seat" at the Round Table for deciding clan business.

Level 6 (L6):   This level is for those that have been given responsibility within the HeadQuarters section.  These will be folks who have earned the right to coordinate one (or more) facets of the clan's business.  Those who have earned a level of L6 will have a "seat" at the Round Table for deciding upon clan business.

Level 7 (L7): This level is reserved for the Founders of |tb| Tactical Brotherhood.  These members will lead all Round Table functions and will coordinate the business of the clan.  Their vote is counted with equal weight as the L5's & L6's but they do retain some "tie-breaking" functionality.
